To ensure effective use of funds it is imperative realistic predictions of each case are made and adjusted as needed. It is on the basis of these predictions that KMS and financial provider(s) can agree upon treatment goals and projected expenses. Over the course of treatment we continually evaluate each client so that treatment may be adjusted for improvement as needed, stopped when no longer appropriate or when no further progress is being made. As changes in treatment plans become necessary we update financial providers so they can make adjustments in cost projections where essential.
Although transparency in healthcare specifically cost and quality is quite ambiguous we generally believe that clients, most often a family member, are much more knowledgeable and sophisticated in purchasing health care services. As the role of consumerism throughout the decision-making process increases, at KMS we strive to effectively incorporate the educated purchasers throughout our delivery of care.
